Offers

Draft an offer, route it for approval, send it, and have the candidate sign it in Elsin.

The terms

Title, level, type, base salary and pay period, equity as options or RSUs with vesting and cliff, a signing bonus, start date, location, an expiry date and notes. Every change is kept as a version.

Approvals

Admins can set an ordered chain of up to 20 steps for offers, and a separate one for opening jobs. Each step is a named person or anyone with at least a given role. Nobody approves their own request, and a step whose approver leaves falls to admins. With no chain, offers are approved straight away.

The letter

Admins write letter templates with fields such as {{candidate_first_name}}, {{base_salary}}, {{start_date}} and {{sender_name}}. The letter is frozen and fingerprinted when it is sent.

Signing

The candidate opens a private link, reads the letter, and signs by typing their name and drawing a signature or using a typed one, or declines with an optional reason. Elsin records the letter's fingerprint, the time, the network address and the browser. Accepting marks the application hired.

  • Resending replaces the link. Withdrawing stops it working at once.
  • An offer past its expiry date expires.
  • DocuSign and Dropbox Sign are not available.

Offers are seen by owners, admins, recruiters, the job's hiring manager and the offer's approvers. Creating one can also send the work history check.
